ANF/Orange Field Days 18-20 October

I've been 3 days out in the countryside, literally, for the Borenore/Orange "Field Days"  where farmers, tractors, sheep, light aircraft, fashion pavillions, CWA and scones all come together! Field Days are events that run for (usually) 3 days and cater for "the man on the land" who may need to buy a new tractor, 5 billion gallon water tank or a backhoe (as you do....)
I first started attending the Field Days several years ago, in Henty, Tocal and Orange. All are country towns in NSW, So where I fit in with my fashions are in the "Style Pavillions" aka Ladies Interest areas that cater for the poor women who are bored witless having to check out that blokey stuff. Those women love us, and have an excuse to shop and watch parades, then shop again! They really do appreciate having the opportunity to buy lovely things they don't normally see in their litttle outback towns or out on that station!

The photos are a bit dark but give you an idea of the parades; the theme this year at Borenore was celebrating 60 years of their Field Days (who'd have guessed!) by featuring Vintage and Retro fashions. Well, I'd just packed up from the successful Sydney  Love Vintage Fair just one day earlier, so this was perfect timing!
