Henty Field Days 2011

Off in the distance past the tractor you can see the tails of the light aircraft. These planes are either for sale, or have been flown in by the "outback" farmers so they can visit the Field days. Wow! "Lets just hop in the plane and go shopping for a tractor..."
We are literally parked out in the fields, about 8 k's drive from the little town of Henty. Henty is midway between Wagga Wagga and Albury.
Here's my stall at the entrance of the huge long pavillion. It's about 150 metres long.

My stall crammed full of wonderful goodies for the ladies, from handbags, pashminas, retro fashion and vintage. The country-folk love my stall for its "uniqueness" and each year look forward to me coming down from Sydney! Nice to be appreciated!

Old and new!! The darling CWA ladies come around with their pram which has tea, coffee and homemade cakes in it. Meals on wheels :)
The new (or should I say "young") are the gorgous students from the local tafe and Billabong High School who model for us, do the hair and make-up. Just love the name "Billabong High"...how aussie is that!
These are a couple of my outfits on the catwalk/runway.The girls dont even have time to rehearse; they get their outfits at 10am and parade them at 11. This is 3 times a day, so they are to be commended! It always runs smoothly (amazes me!)
The fashion pavillion is quite huge as seen in this photo; a hub of activity from fashion parades to demos on scone making!
Ahh, time to relax. Been a hectic 3 days of parades, farmers, pub meals (huge steaks!) and country hospitality.
